How does my meat stay fresh?
Your meat is delivered fresh; this means it has been chilled in a fridge, and has never ever been frozen! We’ve cleverly crafted our packaging so that once dispatched, the meat stays fresh for a minimum of 48 hours. We use hydrated ice blocks and protective insulation that keeps the package at a constant temperature, keeping the meat fresh until it reaches you.
Our overnight delivery service takes less than 24 hours. Once delivered to you the meat will keep fresh for an additional 5 days when refrigerated, or 6 months when frozen.
We recommend that you immediately refrigerate the meat once you have taken delivery.
(Burgers on occassion, may be frozen)
When will my parcel be delivered?
All orders placed before 12pm (Noon) on a Monday, will be delivered on Thursday.
Any orders placed after 12pm (noon) on Monday will be delivered on the following Thursday.
Where do you deliver to?
We deliver nationwide in the UK. Certain postcodes in the Isle of Wight and Scottish Highlands may incur a supplementary charge.
What if I miss my delivery?
Our couriers will attempt a first delivery. If no one is available at the delivery address a note will be left for you and you will be sent an SMS by our couriers. Our couriers will attempt a redelivery the next day. If you are still unavailable, the box will be returned to us. You can choose to have the box delivered to a neighbour or left in a safe place by responding to the interactive SMS.
Due to the fresh nature of our products, we cannot be held responsible for undeliverable items due to lack of availability of a customer.
How is the meat certified halal?
We take Halal so seriously that it’s in our name! We have selectively chosen and inspected a supplier that provides a full halal service. All our meat comes from abattoirs that are certified by reputable UK halal certification bodies.
Our suppliers provide halal meat to a number of high end hotels, sporting venues and catering businesses in the UK. Our international suppliers are the same companies that supply meat to Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE. Chances are, if you have dined in a 5 star hotel or steakhouse in the middle east, you have already tasted the gourmet meat supplied through Halalnivore.
How do I cook my meat?
The beauty of our meat is that it can be cooked whichever way you like - In the oven, in a pan, on a grill and of course on a barbeque! We highly recommend cooking steaks on a griddle pan or skillet on high heat. Have a read through our blog post "How to cook the perfect steak!" For tips on getting the most flavour out of your steaks!
What about any allergens?
Halalnivore does its best to select meats that everyone can eat. All our meat is prepared and cut in an environment that only processes meat. There are no additives or preservatives; we like to leave the marinating to you!
Our burgers contain some additional spices or additives to give them a zing, and these are listed on the relevant product pages. Please contact us for any specific allergy related questions and we’ll be happy to assist.
